Re: Smtech UP-400 |
Dear Kelvin
You will have to change the Vacuum pump for the USC over to 230/240V. Plus you will have to check to see if the computer is autoswitchable ( Depends on the age of your machine ). If it is not then this will have to be manually switched over.
The Reprint Part no for the 230/240V vacuum pump is P008916 ( Eqv to SMTech pt 7922 ).

Re: Re: Smtech UP-400 |
Toff,
I think I would perfer to convert the vacuum pump to 110. Is there a way to convert the pump to 110v with out replacing it. My machine is currently running 110v this way I would not have to change the computer votage. |

Re: Re: Re: Smtech UP-400 |
Hi Sorry misread your original question. If the machine was originally shipped to the USA by SMTech then it would have been sent with a 110V Vacuum pump fitted.
However there may well have been a rare occasion when a 240V pump was fitted.
Please check your vacuum pump to check on its voltage. It should be written on the plate attached to the pump.
If the pump is 110V then it should work ok at 110V. If it is 230V then it will need to be changed for a 110V unit, or another option would be to use an appropriate transformer. |
